An interesting brass compound microscope from the Hartnack workshop. Height approx. 10 3/4” Black glass inset on brass stage. Sub stage  dark well and stop. Double swing-out reflector. Lovely original lacquer with little if any wear. Coarse focussing by friction, plus fine adjustment. The

microscope bears the following inscription. “C.Virick élève special de E. Hartnack, rue de la

 Parchiminerie 2 . Paris”

 

The microscope also has its very attractive small bench condenser.

 

The reflector surfaces have peripheral loss of silvering, Otherwise, both microscope and bench

condenser are in very nice crisp condition.
