Set of five fine late 19th century laboratory bottles

Last quarter of the 19th century, these  five bottles ( height 9”) were  produced to hold

different laboratory acids whose names are  deeply incised . A darker pigment has been

applied  to the names to have them easily read. Acids are for example sulphuric,

hydrochloric, nitric etc. There are substantial pontils on each and all glass ground

stoppers appear original, although one,  far right in the photo,   is a very loose fit

and may be a working life replacement. It is identical otherwise.

We can see not a single chip or crack on any of them.
